October 20, 2015 By Jimmy Dalgleish Leave a Comment

So the truth is out about the how George’s location change was brought about after the tragic passing of his wife, but with no explanation to an eager Weld community as to how she died they were left to their own devices as rumour quickly spread that George killed his wife for the insurance money and that is why they moved to Weld.

“I’ve been thinking about what constitutes truth these days, how do we know what is or isn’t the truth and what if a story becomes truth, how do you tell the difference between one and the other?” –George Turner
“When you are the victim of gossip, you have two choices, ignore it until people move on, or track down the source and destroy it.” –George Turner

George was on a mission to track down who started the rumour. But it wasn’t as easy as he first thought with the chain of who heard it from who just growing and growing.

“Of course one of the complicated factors in hunting down a lie is that the truth can actually be worse, don’t get me wrong the lie must be extinguished but sometimes the ideal is that the whole truth does not emerge along the way” –George Turner
“People talk, that’s natural, where there’s void get filled with speculation, but it is the silence that is actually louder than any words” –George Turner

At this stage George is walking around town a suspected murder due to the rumoured that had spread at a rapid rate, no-one says anything but they give him him strange stares.

So many times we are quick to judge other people what we have heard or what we think may have happened. Rumours need to stop being spread and if you are the person starting the rumours I think you need to ask yourself why? What is so bad in your own life that you need to make someone elses life miserable?

“Silence is where the lies grow, and the only way to stop the lies growing is with the truth, even when the truth is in some ways worse than the lies it replaces.” –George Turner

Discussing painful moments of the past is hard and George opened up to the Weld community with how his wife died, he blames himself, she was struck on a pedestrian crossing by a driver who wasn’t watching. That split moment and everything changed.

“The thing about the truth is that once it’s out there. It is a very powerful force, unstoppable even, while telling the truth is liberating we also have to accept that within our lives we all love a good mystery and a little bit of mystery is good for the soul.” – George Turner

The truth, when you are so worried about concealing a secret that it becomes too much and you just start to tell the truth with no hesitation is the moment you set yourself free.
