Brownlow Night
For those of you that don’t know the Brownlow medal is the season MVP award of the Australian Football League.
Brownlow Night is a night in the lead up I spend a few hours analysing stats after stats to try and have an educated bet at who has a decent crack at winning the Brownlow. I have picked the winner twice with Dane Swan at $16 being the most lucrative.
This year I haven’t had near the amount of time I would have liked to look over all the stats. My little brother and myself would go over every game and compare our vote getters for the game. We usually watch announced vote getter with interest but unfortunately he has been run into the ground this week with University commitments and work commitments and he is asleep at the moment.
I hope Fyfe gets up tonight, he deserves it. The only other people I can see winning are Hannebery, Priddis or Mitchell.
The other aspects of the Brownlow.
During the count the Brownlow is all about the football. But before the count the Brownlow is all about dressing for the occasions with the WAGs going to extraordinary efforts to look as amazing as what they do.
Good on them, the life of a footballer would come with its pros and cons but having a night at the end of the year to just celebrate the individual achievements of some of the best players of our game is a good way to wrap it up.
Tonight’s blog is short and sweet I am going to sit back and enjoy the count. I’ll be back with some more hard hitting topics throughout the week. All the best.
